What is gong bath?

Gong baths have transformational effects on mind, body and spirit, truly the best way to understand is to experience it.

Those who receive the gongs report numerous benefits, ranging from an overall sense of relaxation, to moving emotional blockages from trauma.

Other benefits include:

- Improved sleep

- Elevated energy

- Reduction of anxiety and depression

- Mental clarity

- Balance and overall heightened awareness.

Still with all this listed, many find there is something they cannot quite describe, something more profound and other-worldly.

Whilst each person’s experience is different, it is not uncommon to have visions, and have breakthroughs and epiphanies. It is also normal to experience any and all emotions and reactions, from crying to laughter, anger to fear and anything else that may arise. All will feel a sense of calm and peace at the end of the session.

If you’re unsure about receiving alternative therapy, know that the gong is as scientifically valid as it is deeply mysterious.

Is it a fad? Well, no. Gongs and sound have been used throughout history by every wisdom tradition throughout the ages. It’s just in more recent years we’ve had the technology to study mind/body connection. With our bodies made of around 70% water, and water conducting sound waves, the vibration of the gong is a powerful tool for rebalancing every cell of our being. On a physiological level, the sound of the gongs helps the brain to reach deep relaxation - the delta and theta states, which we tend to reach during deep sleep. In this meditative state, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated and the heart and respiration slow down.

A gong bath requires nothing at all of you but receptivity in order to be experienced, but must be experienced in order to be understood.

Can anyone receive? We aim to be as inclusive as possible, but gongs may not be suitable during first trimester of pregnancy, for those with metal implants (coil is fine) , those with sound sensitive conditions.
